- Most of the activity is centered on the Tsali (pronounced SAH-lee) Trail System about 15 miles west of Bryson City, an area that has gained a national reputation as one of the finest mountain biking trail systems in the country. - While Swain County attracts some of the world’s best mountain bikers, you don’t have to be a near professionals to enjoy the sport. There are places, such as Euchella Sports Lodge and Nantahala Outdoor Center, where mountain bikes can be rented and almost anyone can enjoy this novel way of seeing the mountains.
- There are many miles of uncrowded country roads, many designated as bike routes, to be explored and enjoyed. So, if you have a bike, bring it, if not you can rent one when you get here. It could be the best part of your mountain vacation.
