My name is Jeanette Marceau. Since 1998, my husband Michael and I have been been managing the cabins and taking care of our guests. We have been privileged to meet many wonderful people who have chosen Nantahala Cabins as their destination for adventures. Nantahala Cabins would like to introduce you to Gene The Bear – Your Guide to Outdoor Adventures. We named him Gene after my loving father who passed away in 2016.

During these trying and troubling times we are going to have Gene The Bear be Your Guide to Outdoor Adventures. He will guide you around the cabins and many possible adventures you may be able to take in the future. If you would like to meet Gene The Bear, mention when you make your reservation and we will try to make arrangements for him to visit your cabin. He loves to hear from our guests.
